New Road Holland Edam colours in stock.

We’ve just had a fresh delivery in from our friends from Florida  – Road Holland and we’re pleased to announce that we’re carrying two new colours variations of their popular Edam long sleeve jersey.

You might know the name Edam from cheese, but this jersey is anything but cheesy. It’s made from Road Holland’s signature 61% / 39% Merino Wool – poly blend that is perfect in cool but not arctic cold conditions. An inner layer of Merino wicks moisture away from the skin while an outer layer of polyester helps that same moisture to quickly evaporate.

A full zip means you can easily put the Edam on over a base layer and vent it if you get too hot. Additionally, the Edam features a new back pocket design with two large cargo pockets than can accommodate a shell and lots of other gear you might need. The exterior zippered pocket is large enough to fully encase a smart phone. Running along the top edge of the pockets is a reflective strip to help keep you visible at night.

The Edam features a very slight roomier cut. The extra room will easily accommodate a base layer but will not result in flapping fabric if worn alone.

Road Holland Hilversum’s – New Colours in Stock

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve got some new colours for the Road Holland Hilversum summer weight jersey in stock  – Orange, White and Carolina Blue.

Ideal for riding in warmer weather, the Hilversum is a polyester jersey that is designed and made in Florida – a place that has it’s fair share of hot humid weather.

Like all Road Holland jerseys it was designed by riders for riders and has some neat touches like two zipped  pockets for your keys and cake money as well as three open pockets, the central open pocket that’s been made a little narrower to hold a smart phone and also a earphone cable hole inside the middle pocket.

Road Holland Hilversum

Road Holland Hilversum Jersey- Nantucket RedRoad Holland are known for their merino blend jerseys. However the Road Holland also offer lightweight summer jersey – the Hilversum.

First and foremost, Road Holland switched to an all-polyester fabric. Before you cry “Bloody Hell!,” know that this is not your average poly. It’s specifically designed for the warmest days of riding and features a mesh design that makes you feel like you are wearing nothing at all. The fabric is spun to our Road Holland’s specifications in the US with just enough wicking properties to leave a scant bit of moisture ON your skin to keep you cool – think of it as built-in air conditioning for your jersey. To increase the level of temperature control, the Hilversum has a full length zip, so you can regulate the amount of fresh air reaching your body. The fabric is anti-microbial so even if you haven’t given your jersey a rinse in a few days, no one will know you’re approaching them in the paceline.

We’ve been testing a Hilversum jersey for about a month and love the detailing that has gone into this jersey. The new 2014 colours range is on the way, but we were that impressed with the product that we’ve bought in a limited range of the 2013 colours as we thought they were worth sharing with you.

Like all Road Holland gear it has subtle classic styling and sensible sizing and being based in Florida, Road Holland know a thing or two about warm weather riding. So if you are after a lightweight jersey for your summer bike rides – the Hilversum is definitely worth a look.

Bolswards !

We’ve just received from our friends at Road Holland some of their bib shorts. Like of all of their products, they are named after somewhere in Holland. This time it’s the small city of Bolsward.

Like many of the new products we sell we’ve been out testing these in the Peak District for a few hundred kilometres just to make sure that they live up to the hype. We can say that these do. As with all Road Holland products, the Bolsward short’s are understated, yet do what they are designed to do extremely well.

Everyone wants to know about the pad when it comes to shorts and Road Holland are using the best available. Designed for extreme long distance riding, the pad comes from Italy and features seamless technology for incredible comfort. Special yarns and a perforated design eliminate friction, increase air circulation, and give the pad a permanent anti-bacterial effect.

12 panel construction means the shorts give where they need to and not where they don’t. A super strong 80% polyester / 20% spandex blend provides maximum compression to keep muscles at their best. At the end of each leg is a gripper that is just taut enough to provide support but not so much that it will give you the dreaded sausage look. Bib straps feature an ultra light mesh to be as minimalistic feeling as possible.

The design is reminiscent of a classic European racing kit – a small logo and simple stripe. The deep black color all the way around ensures you’ve got the perfect accompaniment to any colour jersey you wish to wear.

The Bolsward bib is available in sizes XS to XXXL. Like all Road Holland products Bolsward bib shorts are made in the good old US of A.

Road Holland Women’s Jerseys now in Stock

Made in Florida to the same exacting standards as the gent’s jerseys, the Road Holland Montfoort jersey’s classic design look good both on and off the bike.

The Montfoort is one of Road Hollands original designs and features a 1/4 zip collar. The cut was designed by and made exclusively for women. The unique princess seams form side panels which make for a slightly narrow silhouette that is comfortable and flattering on and off the bike. The cap sleeve gives just enough room for tucking in a pair of arm warmers during colder days but will not bunch up and make you look like you’re wearing a man’s t-shirt.

The fabric is a super-soft and highly breathable 61% polyester / 39% Merino wool blend. The inclusion of fine Merino does wonders for the fabric. Wool’s exceptional wicking properties keep you dryer and cooler even in the most demanding of conditions. There are multiple back pockets including one especially designed for money and other personal essentials.
