Walz Caps are back in stock

walz_Brown-Tweed-Brown-Wool-Stripe_lg

We’ve just had a delivery from our friends in California Walz Caps.

All of our favourite caps are back in stock including the best selling winter earflap cap.

We’ve also added the brown tweed cap (above) to our range. Which we think would look great with an old school town bike or path racer.

As well as woollen caps we’ve also got a good selection of moisture wicking caps in too for when the weather decides to get a little warmer. Check out the full range here.

Brooklyn & St Raphaël Mugs

We’ve just received a batch of two brand new mugs that we’ve designed.

They are based on two classic teams – Brooklyn and St Raphaël.

DSCF5916

The name Brooklyn was made famous by Roger de Vlaeminck, who won the Paris Roubaix classic four times in the 1970’s.

DSCF5918

St Raphaël was the team of Brian Robinson, Tom Simpson and Jacques Anquetil.  Five times Tour de France and Two times Giro winner. Anquetil is still regarded as one of the coolest men in cycling.

Our Christmas Ideas.

Like it or not Christmas is on its way.

Buying for the one you love can be hard work – especially if they are a cyclist and seem to spend all their money on bikes.

Here’s our guide to solving that perennial problem – the Christmas present.

Velotastic jerseys

velotastic-jerseys

Our own design retro jerseys come in a choice of five designs and are made out of high quality fabrics. They are ideal for the rider who wishes to stand out in the peloton.

Jersey project book

P1030459

This book is a pictorial history of cycling jerseys and is a must for any cycling enthusiast. Lavishly illustrated, the Jersey Project is a classic in the making and is the type of book that is not read end to end but dipped into.

Socks

Everyone wears socks and they make a great stocking filler. Our range of socks come in a variety of styles.

Cycling mugs

For many cyclists a pre-ride brew is part of the ritual.

Walz caps

Walz Moisture Wicking Cap - Black and Orange

Made in California from the finest materials, Walz caps are regarded by those in the know as the cycling cap to wear. Walz caps are made from either  cotton, moisture wicking fabric and wool. All designs come in two sizes.

Back to the Future

We’re getting the feeling 2014’s going to be a big year for cycling.

The Tour is coming to Yorkshire (and a little bit of Derbyshire and the South), the Eroica‘s coming to the Peak District and hopefully cycling will be recognised as our national sport (well one of the few we’re any good at).

Velotastic are also planning to hit the road during the summer months and be at a few of the events. Admittedly, when it comes to the Tour – we’ll probably be by the side of the road on Holme Moss cheering the riders on !

One event that we’ve just booked our spot on is the Chiltern Cycling Festival. It is going to be held on July 13th in Amersham and looks a cracking event. Amongst the things going on include a sportive, a vintage bike run and a hill climb.

Even though it’s only October we’re looking forward to next summer already – we just hope the weather holds.

Sono arrivati!

Our latest two jersey designs are now here in stock and ready to ship !

velotastic-jerseys

We’ve been busy with our pencils and crayons and have come up with the Italia and 24-Seven designs. They are made to our specifications in the EU from Italian fabrics.

Both jerseys have a retro design to them but are made from a modern interloc fabric that we especially chose for its elasticity and breathability.

Men’s and Women’s sizes are available and although we hate to remind you, both would make a great Christmas present.

Get yours here while we’ve got them !

What’s your poison ?

Most of us have no time whatsoever for drugs cheats in sport.

However we do have two addictions ourselves – the act of cycling and the ritual of a pre-ride brew.

Pharmaceutical packaging was the inspiration for this mug design (plus Robert Indiana’s famous love sculpture).

The mug has a 1o oz capacity which just the right volume for an Americano.  Biscuits + coffee not included.

Man Up with Walz Caps !

As every experienced cyclist will tell you, there are times when you are 30 miles from home, the wind is in your face and it’s getting dark.

Broken ManYou have two choices – ring for your partner or face up to the man with the hammer and dig a little deeper.

We have all experienced these moments and Walz have produced these caps embracing that moment, sometimes referred to as Rule #5 by those in the know.

Welcome to our new range of jerseys

DSCF5590

Inspired by our love of late 70’s jerseys, we’ve decided to launch our own range of cycling clothing.

We’ve started with three jerseys that we have had especially made for us by Bioracer in Belgium (the folks behind the Belgium, German and Dutch cycling teams and 2013 Euskaltel kit).

velotastic_yorkshire_jersey

  • The Yorkshire Jersey – After a successful launch on Yorkshire Day,August 1st, for pre-orders this kit is inspired by the Molteni kit worn by Mr Eddy Merckx.

Velotastic_ROUBAIX_front

  • Roubaix – we thought we’d bring some French charm to our range. This jersey uses the colours of the French tricolour and bears the name of the finish of the queen of the classics.

Velotastic_Vlaaderen_front

  • Vlaanderen, of Flanders is that bit of northern Belgium that has produced a whole range of cycling hardmen or ‘flahute’.

See the whole range here.
