The third edition of the Hell of the Notts explores the farm tracks, bridleways and quiet byways to the south of the Trent exploring the Nottinghamshire Wolds.
This virtual event starts and finishes at Cotgrave Country Park just south of Nottingham . There’s a choice of two distances – the Imperial at just over 100 miles or the Metric just under 100 km. The Metric heads into Nottingham and follows the Trent before heading south into the Wolds. The imperial route is an extension of the metric that explores the Vale of Belvoir and beyond.
We’ve chosen to head into the city so that if you’re keen and green you can begin your adventure at Nottingham Railway Station which is very close to the route.
Not only will you get a copy of the GPX file for both routes, but also a sew on patch for your bag. As it’s a virtual event you can ride it as and when you like. Members of our Riders Club get half price entry.
The route will be revealed on March 28th to all entrants – just in time for the Easter holidays.
It goes without saying that if you do enter not only will you make our day, but you will do so at your own risk and we’re not responsible if you get yourself into a bit of a tangle. Please don’t ride like a melon, be nice to other trail users and smile at motorists !
Don’t forget to share your adventures using the hashtags #velotastic and #HellOfTheNotts as we love seeing your pictures and reading your ride reports on social media.
